Project overview
In 2024, the Capital Regional Hospital District (CRHD) purchased the Mt. Tolmie Hospital site (3690 Richmond Road, Saanich) from Island Health. BC Housing entered into a lease of the site from the CRHD as of December 13, 2024.
BC Housing has extended its original lease of the site from 20 years to 35 years. This lease extension better supports future longer-term housing opportunities at the property.
Maintenance and site improvement work will continue to occur over the next few months as we ensure the property remains safe and well maintained.
We recognize the community's interest in the future of the site and remain committed to sharing information as planning progresses.
