Monetary Penalty

On January 31, 2023, pursuant to s. 28.3(1)(b) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “Act”), Sunshine Coast Distillery Inc. (“SCD”), Hongquan Lu (“H. Lu”), and Shitao Lu (“S. Lu”)(H. Lu and S. Lu together, “the Lus”), were issued a monetary penalty, jointly and severally, in a daily amount of $225, to a maximum of $6,750, for each day that passes until the demands contained in Compliance Order 22-0017 (the “CO”) have been satisfied. This Monetary Penalty was issued for the following reasons:

On November 30, 2012,Swarn Singh Chandi (“S. Chandi”) and Manjit Kaur Chandi (“M. Chandi”) (together, the “Chandis”) were issued a monetary penalty, jointly and severally, in the single amount of $400. This Monetary Penalty was issued for the following reasons:

On November 8, 2012, Tejinder Singh Rai (“T. Rai”) and Balbir Singh Rai (“B. Rai”) (together, the “Rais”), were issued a monetary penalty, jointly and severally,  in the daily amount of $120, to a maximum of $2,400, for each day that passed, excluding weekends, until the demands contained in Compliance Order 11-0016 were satisfied. This daily monetary penalty amount accumulated for 19 days until it was suspended at $2,280 on December 9, 2012. This Monetary Penalty was issued for the following reasons:

On August 22, 2011, pursuant to s. 28.3(1)(a) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “Act”), s. 20.1(2)(b) and s. 20.1(2)(f) of the Homeowner Protection Act Regulation (the “Regulations”), Tharen Soroka (“T. Soroka”), Denise Soroka (“D. Soroka”) and TDS Forestry Contracting Ltd. (“TDS”) were issued a daily monetary penalty, jointly and severally, in the amount of $240, to a maximum of $7,200, for each day that passed until the demands contained in Compliance Order 09-0021 had been satisfied.

On March 6, 2014, pursuant to s. 28.3(1)(a) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “Act”), s. 20.1(2)(b) and s. 20.1(2)(f) of the Homeowner Protection Act Regulation (the “Regulations”),TKR Developments Ltd. (“TKRDL”) and Raymond Raffard (“Raffard”) were issued a monetary penalty in the single amount of $14,400. This Monetary Penalty was issued for the following reasons:

On April 20, 2012, pursuant to s. 28.3(1)(a) and s.28.3(1)(b) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “Act”), and s. 20.1(2)(b) and s. 20.1(2)(f) of the Homeowner Protection Act Regulation (the “Regulations”), Traci Leah Fitzgerald (“T. Albertson”) (together, the “Albertsons”), jointly and severally, were issued a monetary penalty in the daily amount of $105, to a maximum of $3,150, for each day that passes until the demands contained in Compliance Order 10-0017 have been satisfied. This monetary penalty was issued for the following reasons:

On March 3, 2016, pursuant to s. 28.3(1)(b) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “Act”),Wild West Log Homes Ltd. (“WWLHL”) and Todagin Russel Hodson (“Hodson”), jointly and severally, were issued a monetary penalty in a daily amount of $220, to a maximum of $6,600, for each day that passes until the demands contained in Compliance Order 15-0010 (“CO”) have been satisfied. This Monetary Penalty was issued for the following reasons:
