LUMBY - Twenty new rental homes are ready for residents at Cottonwood Place, providing seniors in Lumby with more choices for comfortable and accessible living.

MISSION - Indigenous families, Elders and individuals with low incomes will soon have access to 65 new affordable homes in Mission.

NANAIMO - Work is underway to bring approximately 20 complex-care homes with robust health and social supports to people with complex mental-health and substance-use challenges in Nanaimo.

ABBOTSFORD - People experiencing or at risk of homelessness in Abbotsford will have access to more shelter spaces, with 22 new spaces open and 45 spaces opening over the coming months.

COURTENAY - Indigenous Elders, individuals and people with disabilities with low or moderate incomes now have access to 40 affordable homes in Courtenay.

NANAIMO - People experiencing homelessness in Nanaimo will soon have access to nearly 190 more indoor housing spaces.

VICTORIA - People in Victoria will soon have access to nearly 300 new homes as construction begins on two developments that offer affordable rental and supportive housing.

MERRITT - First Nations elders, families and youth in Merritt now have access to new affordable homes with the opening of a 52-unit building.

CASTLEGAR - Thirteen new rental homes are now available for families, seniors and individuals, including adults with developmental disabilities, in Castlegar with the opening of Eagle Estates.

NORTH VANCOUVER – One year after the launch of BC Builds, more affordable housing options are on the way for North Vancouver and throughout B.C., with faster timelines benefiting families, seniors and individuals.

SAANICHTON - First Nations Elders, families and seniors will soon have access to 236 new homes, as construction begins on three on-reserve rental housing developments.

VICTORIA - More people will now benefit from enhancements to the Rental Assistance Program (RAP) and the Shelter Aid for Elderly Renters (SAFER) program, helping low-income families and seniors afford their rent.

VICTORIA - Due to uncertain financial times, and with the federal government committing to implement a similar program, the Province's pilot secondary-suite incentive program will no longer be accepting applications after March 30, 2025.

VICTORIA - Women and children at risk of or leaving violence have access to more safe, secure spaces as 229 new transition and second-stage housing units open on Vancouver Island and in Metro Vancouver.

VICTORIA - The federal and provincial governments announced an enhancement to the Canada-BC Housing Benefit (CBCHB) that will provide additional support for survivors of gender-based violence. The federal government is investing nearly $37 million over four years, with the Province of B.C. providing an equal cost match.

KAMLOOPS - Youth and young adults experiencing homelessness in Kamloops now have access to 39 new homes with supports through the opening of Katherine's Place.

VICTORIA - People will have more affordable housing options in their communities with more than 200 supportive homes, shelter spaces, culturally supportive homes and homes for seniors opening or starting construction.

VANCOUVER – As 337 more affordable rental homes open in Vancouver, new reports are showing positive signs for renters in B.C., including thousands of renters supported through the BC Rent Bank, decreases in rents and record-high rental-home construction starts.

CAMPBELL RIVER - People who were previously living in shelters and encampments in Campbell River now have a roof over their heads and access to services they need at Homewood, a new 40-unit temporary supportive housing project.

SURREY - Indigenous people on and off reserve in B.C. will have access to approximately 1,600 new affordable rental homes through partnerships between the Province, through BC Housing, and Indigenous non-profit housing providers.

LANGLEY - Nearly 1,200 rental homes are coming soon for individuals, seniors and families with middle incomes in the Township of Langley and Burnaby, through new BC Builds projects.

GIBSONS - More than 70 new rental homes are coming to Gibsons as families, seniors and individuals begin moving into a completed Phase 1 development and construction begins on Phase 2, a BC Builds delivered project.
