West Rim Construction (“WRC”) and Guy Michael John Scrugham (“Scrugham”), contrary to section 14(5)(b) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “Act), published information implying and suggesting that WRC and/or Scrugham is a licensed residential builder during the period of, or about, September 1, 2022, and June 2, 2023, without being a BC Housing (“BCH”) Licensed Residential Builder (“LRB”). On June 2, 2023, BCH issued Compliance Order 23-0011 to WRC and Scrugham directing that WRC and Scrugham immediately either:
Wild West Log Homes Ltd. (“WWLHL”) and Todagin Russell Hodson (“Hodson”), contrary to sections 14(1) and 22(1) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “Act”), commenced, or caused to have commenced, construction on a new home in Rose Prairie, B.C. (the “New Home”), sometime between September 7, 2012 and June 15, 2013, without being a Homeowner Protection Office (“HPO”) Licensed Residential Builder (“LRB”) and without the New Home being registered for coverage by home warranty insurance provided by a warranty provider.
Willi Gottlieb Schmid (“W. Schmid”) and Barbara Schmid (“B. Schmid”), contrary to sections 14(1) and 22(1) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “Act”), commenced or caused to have commenced construction on a new home in Hazelton, B.C. (the “New Home”), on, or sometime prior to, February 18, 2016, without being a BC Housing (“BCH”) Licensed Residential Builder (“LRB”) and without the New Home being registered for coverage by home warranty insurance provided by a warranty provider. On June 15, 2017, BCH issued Compliance Order 17-0023 to W.
William Bland ("Bland") and Lucas DeCicco ("DeCicco"), contrary to sections 14(1) and 22(1) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the "Act") built two new homes near Shawnigan Lake, B.C., (the "New Homes") during the period of November 2007 to August 2008 without being a Homeowner Protection Office ("HPO") Licensed Residential Builder ("LRB") and without the New Homes being covered with home warranty insurance.
William Bruce Andrews (“Andrews”) and Andrew Penner (“Penner”), contrary to sections 14(1) and 22(1) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “ Act”), built a new home in Terrace, B.C. (the “New Home”), during the period of June 5, 2008, and April 24, 2012, without being an Homeowner Protection Office (“ HPO”) Licensed Residential Builder (“LRB”) and without the New Home being covered by home warranty insurance.
Yadwinder Singh Grewal (“Y. Grewal”) and Kulwinder Kaur Grewal (“K. Grewal”) (together “the Grewals”), contrary to sections 20.1(1)(b) and 21(2)(a) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “Act”), regarding a new home in Surrey, B.C.
Yin Chee Lee (“Lee”), contrary to section 14(1) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “Act”), conducted the business of a residential builder without being a BC Housing (“BCH”) Licensed Residential Builder (“LRB”) between the period of, or about, April 13, 2018, and August 28, 2019, regarding a new home in Vancouver, BC (the “New Home”).
Zheng (Tony) Liu (“Z. Liu”), contrary to section 14(1) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “Act”), conducted the business of a residential builder without a valid BC Housing (“BCH”) Residential Builder Licence between the period of, or about, November 20, 2017, and May 8, 2018, regarding a new home in Vancouver, B.C. (the “New Home”). On May 8, 2018, BCH issued Compliance Order 18-0029 to Z. Liu directing that Z. Liu:
